Dr. Kate has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. My journey with her began after receiving five concussions playing collegiate football. She helped me unpack and process what I was going through mentally during a difficult period of identity loss and mental recovery. My journey with her didn’t stop with concussions, but continued on to overcoming depression and anxiety, which I had been living with for most of my life. I have never felt as free, happy, and excited for the future as I feel today; and a large amount of that credit is due to Dr. Kate.

Dr. Kate has been influential in opening my eyes to the underlying issues behind many of my insecurities. She’s an encouraging and positive support system with an empathetic nature. She’s gentle and kind, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients.

Dr. Kate Cummins has been one of the greatest gifts to me in this season of life. I started going to her when I was experiencing anxiety and depression. She offers a space that is safe to process information, come undone, and begin to really understand myself. She helps me look at different narratives that I live in and now with learning how to care for myself. She offers a wholistic practice and comes with a wealth of knowledge. I never feel judged by her and always feel like she is on my team, cheering and coaching me on.

I am an older woman; a professional, a wife, a mother, a grandmother. I have tried therapy four other times, without connecting deeply to the therapist. When I first met Dr. Kate five years ago, I quickly realized that she is someone who cares. Smart, sensitive, and insightful, Dr. Kate has helped me to grow into an understanding of my life and relationships in ways I never thought possible. Working with her is simply wonderful.

I initially found Dr. Kate because I had a back injury that was having a huge impact on my mood. Dr. Kate’s experience on the bridge of health and psychology made her an attractive option for my situation. Even though my back still causes me issues, thanks to Dr. Kate I am able to handle those swings better, yet I still come back on a regular cadence because I realized there’s always something going on. She helps me identify my emotions, determine where they might be coming from, and helps me to develop healthier habits regarding my thought patterns and actions. Dr. Kate has been an excellent support system during my ups and downs.

I came to see Dr. Kate during one of the most difficult times in my life. My father had severe dementia and passed away within 8 months of being put into a skilled nursing facility. I couldn’t figure out which was worse, my father having this terrible disease or his passing. Being stricken with such anxiety & depression as well as having a broken heart, Dr. Kate has helped me work through my issues. From the first visit to today, Dr. Kate continues to make every session calming, safe and never made me feel as though she was judging me.

When I decided to try therapy to talk through my anxiety it was important to me to find someone with a solid academic/clinical background but also someone who was non-intimidating and empathetic. Dr. Kate turned out to be exactly that, with the ability to understand and respond to my needs. I worked with her for several months to better understand myself and devise strategies for managing personal & professional stress, and I’ve continued seeing her on an “as-needed” basis for ongoing maintenance. I think of those visits in the same way I think of regular exercise — life is busy & messy but self-awareness & self care has to be a priority.

Dr Cummins is a truly gifted therapist. She is supportive, insightful, available and and absolutely excellent at what she does. She effectively helped me get through a very difficult time in my life during the journey of infertility. I sometimes wonder what I would have done without her. I truly can’t recommend her enough!
